Motorised Awnings for a Grade II Listed Market
Solar contributed to the redevelopment of Newport Market, a Grade II listed Victorian building dating from 1864. The £850,000 market project formed part of a wider city-centre investment programme.

How the Project Came Together
Ten Motorised Awnings
Solar installed ten wireless RTS-controlled Weinor N2000 awnings across the market frontage, each with a wall switch and shared mobile master control.
Integrated Into the Building
The awnings retract into the curtain walling when not in use, protecting the systems and preserving the appearance of the listed building.
Colour and Weather Protection
RAL colour matching coordinated the awnings with the existing works, while individual vibration sensors trigger automatic retraction in poor weather.
