Solar completed it’s most local project recently at Pen Y Fai Primary School. The £4.3 million pound new build eco school includes state of the art facilities including solar hot water systems, rain water harvesting and motion sensitive lighting all working to safe energy and help the environment.
Solar worked closely alongside Cowlin Construction and Headteacher Christina Bach on the project and installed a range of products throughout the school. Vertical Louvre Blinds were fitted in all classrooms, complete with child safety devices to ensure compliance with the forthcoming law changes surrounding looped blind cords. A combination of roller and blackout roller blinds were used to shade the high rise hall windows and external classroom doors allowing both sunlight and glare reduction for the children, as well as increased privacy from neighbouring rooms.
Shower facilities were completed through the installation of shower curtains and tracking, ensuring that the school catered for the every child’s needs throughout term time.
As always, Solar Sunshades is keen to help the local community and as such, completing a local project like Pen Y Fai Primary School gives us great satisfaction in securing a bright future for local children’s learning. A great bonus is the environmentally friendly nature of the facility, something our company values greatly. We hope that the children will be very happy in their new school for many years to come.
