Sales Vacancies

Solar Sunshades are recruiting sales executives to join our team. The key roles required are outlined below:

Sales
You will join our very successful field based sales team. This is a front line ambassadorial role selling directly to the consumer through pre-arranged home visits.
You will be required to project a very professional image of yourself and the company using a warm, friendly and welcoming approach without using high pressure selling techniques.

During these visits you will be expected to accurately measure all types of windows and conservatories. Should there be any unusual, tricky or awkward windows which need further explanation prior to manufacture or install then you will be required to provide a photograph of each window attached to each order as required.

You will use, develop and maintain your selling skills to take advantage and build upon our reputation as a leader in our field to maximise the sales potential of every appointment.

To assist you Solar will provide you with various finance options at your disposal including Interest Free and Interest bearing finance.

Product Knowledge
Our customers will expect advice and guidance on all our products, giving them the right practical and functional solution for their home. They will also expect advice on colours and designs from our various comprehensive Fabric Pattern Book collections. However specific training will be given.

A good knowledge of the Geographical areas of South Wales will be an advantage to ensure you plan your route efficiently, but a Sat Nav system will be provided to assist you with this.

Marketing
You will need to know in detail the existing promotional activity relating to Solar and its competitors including specific marketing campaigns included in the press, life style magazines, social media, web sites, TV and radio etc.

IT
You will be required to enter the window sizes into a tablet containing our bespoke software. You will then enter the fabric’s colours and specifications required into the programme and this will generate the selling price. Once agreed by the customer and a deposit is paid, this order will then be entered onto our bespoke Blindata software which will then generate a works order. Therefore attention to detail and accuracy in sizes and data entry are vital.

Finance
You will be required to collect and process Deposit’s and Balance’s through various methods of payment including Cash, Cheque, Chip and Pin machines or our internet based portal for secure transactions. We also offer interest free credit and interest bearing finance packages for our customers. This requires the use of an online finance portal which is very user friendly and full training on this will be provided.

Company Vehicle
A Company vehicle with fuel card will be provided along with a mobile phone and tablet, all for business use only. You will be responsible for regular vehicle checks and ensuring all service and MOT requirements are met alongside the Company Vehicle Policy.

A Full UK Driving license is required

Previous experience in this or similar industries would be an advantage in this role.
